From 3pm on Saturday to 3am on Sunday, the music played on at full tempo during a dance party at a Rajguru Nagar restaurant as about 30 couples from the city grooved to electro, house, UK Punjabi and Bollywood tunes.
While the party witnessed young college-going crowd in the beginning, married couples started coming in as the sun set and the evening became livelier. DJs Elton and Vishnu ensured the guests stayed on the dance floor for as long as each one of them could.
The platter too, at the 12-hour-long party, was lip smacking with dishes like chicken and Vegetable Manchurian, “paneer” and Chicken “tikka” and varieties of “kababs” and bullets. Wine and soft drinks were the beverages on offer.
The night had its share of star attraction with the presence of model-actor Rhythm Arora and video director Karanpreet Singh Bhatia.
Businessman Ayush Singhania of Civil lines danced on Bollywood hits with his wife Isha. “The atmosphere was lively and we had a lot of fun dancing”, he added.
“The music played at the party took care of every one’s taste. My wife Amandeep and I danced on Punjabi songs and loved the food”, said businessman Harpreet Singh of Model Town.
